The Driver provides reliable and safe driving services while ensuring compliance with local traffic rules and UNICEF protocols. The role supports administrative tasks and engages in self-directed learning during non-driving periods.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reliable and safe driving services.
  • Ensure full compliance with local traffic rules and UNICEF protocols.
  • Demonstrate high standards of professionalism, discretion, integrity, adaptability, and protocol awareness.
  • Support administrative tasks.
  • Engage in self-directed learning during non-driving periods.
  • Apply a client-oriented approach with courtesy, tact, and a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Perform routine vehicle care, maintenance, and readiness.
  • Utilize digital tools and tracking systems.
  • Document and report on trips.

Required Experience
  • Minimum two years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record is required.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
Qualifications

A secondary education is required, along with a valid driver's license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.

Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
