Overview
Provide specialized support and technical analyses to policy and programme activities that effectively meet food assistance needs, focusing on nutrition specific, sensitive and Social Behavior Change (SBC) activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assist in the development and implementation of nutrition specific, sensitive and SBC activities.
- Provide specialized project management support to Nutrition and programmes.
- Prepare a range of reports and data analysis.
- Ensure accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work.
- Liaise with internal and external counterparts to support effective collaboration.
- Coordinate and communicate with local partners, agencies, NGOs, UNs, Nutrition Sector and government institutions.
- Support the capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners and national government.
- Act as a point of contact for resolution of a range of operational queries and problems.
- Oversee and/or review the work of other support staff.
- Follow standard emergency preparedness practices.
Required Experience
At least 6 years of overall experience in Humanitarian and Complex Emergencies, focusing on Nutrition Programs or in any other relevant fields.
Qualifications
Completion of University Degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) is required. Education in Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition or in any relevant field is preferable.
