Overview
This internship supports the development, testing, and validation of AI-based tools for drone digital forensics use cases and includes contributions to the design and assembly of a 3D-printed drone.
Key Responsibilities
- Support research on UAS and counter-UAS technologies.
- Assist in the development, testing, and validation of AI-based tools for drone forensics.
- Evaluate the performance of AI models applied to drone data.
- Assist in the design, assembly, and iterative development of a 3D-printed drone platform.
- Participate in testing and documentation of drone systems and forensic workflows.
- Maintain technical documentation, test reports, and datasets.
- Report progress, findings, and challenges.
- Assist with coordination and technical updates during stakeholder engagements.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma.
- Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- OR enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Field of study must be closely related to Computer Forensics, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or other relevant Forensics or ICT disciplines.
- Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, or similar.
