The Programme Budget Officer will review, analyze, and finalize programme plans and budget proposals, monitor budget implementation, and provide advice on budgetary and financial policies.
A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in finance, budget, business or public administration, strategic planning, economics, data science, statistics, information technology, or related area is required. Four years of experience using data to inform decisions and strategies, including summarizing and presenting insights from large data sets in a clear, accessible, and visually effective manner, is required. Two years or more of experience in with self-service analytics and data visualization applications, or business intelligence tools (SAP Business Objects, etc.) is required. Experience with financial systems or with finance modules of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle, SAP or PeopleSoft or similar software is required. Experience in the design, development, implementation or and enhancement of a financial or budgetary model or information systems is desirable. Experience in providing direct support on budgetary issues to intergovernmental, oversight and expert bodies is desirable.
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, political science, strategic planning, or related field is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in combination with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
