Overview

The United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Mexico City is seeking an Audio-Visual Intern to support communication and outreach campaigns. The intern will assist in designing and implementing campaigns, organizing public information activities, and developing social media content.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and support the implementation of at least one UN communication or outreach campaign.
  • Assist in contributing to the organization of at least three public information or communication activities.
  • Assist in drafting and development of a minimum of three social media campaigns, including the preparation of multimedia content and posts.
  • Assist in developing and scheduling weekly social media content.
  • Assist in producing regular news bulletin and media updates.
  • Assist in the production or editing of audiovisual and graphic materials.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent). Applicants must be in the field of social sciences, journalism, communications, audiovisual communications, social media management, marketing, advertising, multimedia production or related.

Fluency in oral and written Spanish is required.

Fluency in English is desirable.

Remuneration
The internship is UNPAID. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
