Overview
This internship supports the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Jakarta by assisting in communication activities and promoting UN values and impact in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in content planning and development of inter-agency campaigns, including social media editorial plans and writing/editing communication materials.
- Amplify UNIC/UN in Indonesia outreach or campaigns in grassroots youth networks or other key target demographics via partners.
- Assist in research work and preparation of concept notes and documents for UNIC-led communication activities.
- Assist in documenting relevant communications/outreach activities for internal archiving.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
Applicants are not required to have professional experience. However, a field of study closely related to the internship type is required. Experience in consulting, policy work or executive management support is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Be computer literate in standard software applications.
- Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and a personal commitment to the ideals of the UN Charter.
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
