Overview

Provide specialized technical and analytical support to ensure data-driven decision-making, accountability, and performance monitoring in line with WFP corporate standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the VAM officer in the implementation of assessments and targeting activities.
  • Support the development of information products and knowledge management systems.
  • Maintain, update, and enhance databases and platforms.
  • Prepare, consolidate, and quality assure analytical outputs.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and quality assurance of VAM activities.
  • Liaise with internal units, field teams, cooperating partners, and government counterparts.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
  • Support in delivering capacity building and development initiatives and sessions to local stakeholders.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor.
Required Experience

At least 6 years of progressively responsible work experience in food security and nutrition related data collection, analysis, and reporting. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of several statistical tools and methods for food security analysis such as SPSS, STATA, R and GIS. Developed practical expertise in food security analysis and mapping by participating in multiple assessments Experienced user of visualization software (Python, R, Power BI, Tableau) and strong database Knowledge (SQL, MSAcess). Experience interacting with partners and other stakeholders. Experience working in a humanitarian context is a plus.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in economics, agriculture, social sciences, development studies, data science or related field is desirable

Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic.
Languages Preferred
The French language is a plus.
Contract Duration
12 months renewable
