Overview

This internship involves assisting with the UN Policy Pulse project, which activates United Nations' voting and deliberative datasets through interactive search, comparison, and visualization.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the preparation, curation and quality control of UN voting and deliberative datasets.
  • Assisting with contributing to the development, testing and refinement of data visualizations and user-facing features.
  • Assisting with supporting the extension of existing features to additional UN voting datasets.
  • Assisting with the design and testing of comparative and analytical views.
  • Assisting with supporting quality assurance and validation processes.
  • Assisting with documenting workflows and contributing to handover materials.
  • Assisting with exploring the responsible application of generative AI and data-analysis tools.
  • Assisting with performing other related duties as required.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). A field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must have good knowledge of software applications used in data and statistical analysis and data visualisation.
