Overview
Internship opportunity to assist in the development and revision of learning materials, research and policy review, and drafting policy documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and revision of learning materials by conducting content analysis and ensuring alignment with UN principles and UNESCO standards.
- Assist in research and policy review by gathering and synthesising relevant literature, data, and case studies.
- Provide support in drafting and reviewing policy documents, including summarizing key issues and recommendations.
- Contribute to strategic discussions by preparing background briefs, meeting notes, and summaries of workshops, training sessions, and seminars.
- Assist in developing reports and presentations by organising information in a clear and accessible format.
- Manage workflow of project coordination tasks related to education policy and curriculum development.
- Conduct desk research on best practices in education policy, digital learning, and teacher capacity-building.
- Ensure that quality requirements for the finalization of key documents align with UNRWA branding guidelines.
Required Experience
Demonstrated interest or experience in policy or project management.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in an accredited first-level, higher education programme (Bachelor or equivalent);
- Be enrolled in an accredited graduate school programme (Master or higher or equivalent);
- Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in paragraphs a and b above), and if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
- Specialization in Education: Curriculum, teaching and learning, Mental Health Psychosocial Support, Education Policy and Planning, Digital Education, Education in Emergencies, among other education areas.
- Advanced IT Skills – focusing on data analysis and visualization, software applications (e.g., Power BI), organisational networks, or cloud computing.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills (different types of texts, comms channels, and audiences).
- Creative thinking and growth attitude.
