Overview

The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will support the strengthening of the mission's monitoring, evaluation, and information management functions in Guatemala, contributing to the availability, quality, and strategic use of programmatic information.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of monitoring and tracking systems.
  • Regularly monitor key indicators, including quantitative and qualitative indicators required by donors.
  • Support the collection, consolidation, cleaning, and validation of data from multiple sources.
  • Maintain and update databases and monitoring tools.
  • Contribute to the preparation of periodic reports (quantitative and narrative).
  • Support the implementation of Data Quality Assurance (DQA) processes.
  • Provide technical support in coordinating with internal units, donors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) mechanisms and inter-agency coordination platforms.
  • Support the planning and implementation of field monitoring missions, operational reviews, and learning exercises.
  • Document lessons learned, good practices, and operational challenges.
  • Support the standardization of monitoring and evaluation tools, methodologies, and processes.
Required Experience

Minimum three (3) years of relevant professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, tracking, or project management functions in humanitarian, development, or international cooperation contexts. Experience with projects funded by humanitarian financing mechanisms will be considered an asset.

Qualifications

University degree in International Relations, Political Science, Migration Studies, Development Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, Social Sciences, Economics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with three (3) years of relevant professional experience; or High school diploma with five (5) years of relevant professional experience.

Fluency in Spanish is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Knowledge and proficiency in one of the Mayan languages will be considered an asset.
