Overview

Consultant to establish initial values for Skills4Girls key performance indicators, support target setting, develop work plans, and enable performance monitoring.


Key Responsibilities

Establish initial values for Skills4Girls KPIs including girls’ agency, digital skills, gender attitudes, school participation and retention. Support UNICEF Ethiopia Country Office in setting realistic targets, developing evidence-based work plans, and enabling performance monitoring. Inform the program's implementation plan by facilitating progress measurement, gap identification, and opportunities for learning and impact. Measure changes in girls' agency-related qualities, digital literacy, school retention, social and gender norms, beliefs and attitudes acting as barriers to and enablers of girls’ learning. Serve as a benchmark for contextualized planning, implementation, management, and decision-making.

Required Experience

At least 10 years of relevant professional experience conducting research, assessments, or evaluations related to education, gender equality, adolescent programming, child protection, or related areas. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is an asset. Proven experience in development of result frameworks for gender and adolescent girls’ programs.

Qualifications

A Master's Degree in Gender Studies, Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Public Health, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.

Knowledge of Oromiffa and Somali languages would be an asset. Working knowledge of Oromiffa and Somali Languages would be an asset
