The position will support the operational implementation of Nutrition programmes and activities, including the nutrition surveillance system, as well as monitoring and quality assessment of interventions aimed at managing severe malnutrition and childhood obesity.
At least one year of relevant professional experience in the development and implementation of health programmes at the national or subnational level in the field of nutrition and food security. Desirable: Experience in addressing nutrition from the perspective of preventing noncommunicable diseases. Experience or sound knowledge of the WHO mandate and goals in humanitarian health crisis, or experience in UN organizations/agencies, international institutions, or NGOs.
University degree in nutrition or health sciences with a focus on nutrition, obtained from a recognized university. Desirable: Advanced degree (master's degree or PhD) in nutrition, or public health with a focus on nutrition, or a relevant area. Advanced training in facility-based management of severe malnutrition, nutrition surveillance, and communications.
