Overview
The Assistant.e aux Opérations G4 Programme will be responsible for monitoring key planned activities and their implementation, as well as tracking progress and capacity building of partner organizations. The role ensures activities are aligned with program objectives and maintains coordination with local program partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify planned movements and distributions of food or non-food items, communicating issues to supervisors.
- Maintain information records and documents on monitoring plans, such as product movement logs and program checklists.
- Collect data for program assistance distribution monitoring according to defined guidelines.
- Issue food release notes (FRN) in the COMET module.
- Systematically enter monitoring recommendations from field activities and mission reports using the escalation tool via MoDA.
- Collect and enter reports from government technical partners and cooperating partners (NGOs) into COMET.
- Regularly follow up on marches and share real-time information.
- Maintain contact with cooperating partners and internal stakeholders to gather feedback.
- Receive and compile feedback from cooperating partners and beneficiaries (CFM) to identify programmatic issues.
- Train or advise cooperating partners on WFP operational practices and monitoring tools.
- Propose improvements to field monitoring processes and procedures.
- Prepare field mission reports to document program implementation.
- Monitor established emergency intervention processes and procedures.
- Execute other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
At least four (4) years of progressive experience, including two (2) years in project planning and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian and development assistance projects, particularly in food security and nutrition. Previous experience in using monitoring systems and data collection standards is an advantage. Experience in monitoring in the Lac province area.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school education. Post-secondary education certificate desirable in monitoring and evaluation, project and program management, or any related field (economics, statistics, sociology, agronomy, agriculture, demography, nutrition).
