Overview

Provide technical inputs and guidance for concept notes, project proposals, strategies, and contingency plans. Support capacity building, project development, and donor reporting for IOM Bulgaria.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, coordinate and implement IOM Bulgaria capacity building programme including trainings.
  • Plan, coordinate and organize the agenda with relevant stakeholders and manage the logistics of capacity building events.
  • Prepare presentations, working materials, analyses and other documents for events.
  • Facilitate cooperation and organize working meetings with public authorities, academia, NGOs, and migrant communities.
  • Prepare regular reports on the implementation of capacity building activities and development of partnerships.
  • Propose activities and prepare recommendations on developing IOM Bulgaria capacity building portfolio.
  • Provide technical inputs for the development of concept notes, strategies and contingency plans.
  • Support project development actions by maintaining contact with donor counterparts and providing technical inputs for funding submissions/proposals.
  • Consolidate and analyse data on programme implementation and indicators for donor reports.
  • Prepare talking points, presentations for media and public events, and situation reports.
  • Participate in trainings, seminars and meetings, and liaise with partner organizations.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • Five years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, or seven years of relevant professional experience with a High School diploma.
  • Experience in coordinating with various programme units and ability to establish and maintain working relations with government counterparts, UN agencies.
  • Experience in programme development, project monitoring and evaluation required.
  • Previous experience in development and implementation of training and capacity building programmes.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relational databases, Microsoft applications, spreadsheets, word processing etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution.

  • High School diploma.
Other Details
Languages Required
Fluency in one of IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish) is required. Fluency in Bulgarian is required (oral and written).
