Overview

The Administrative Officer, P4 position heads the IIMM's Administration Section in Geneva, Switzerland. The role is responsible for leading, overseeing, and coordinating the preparation and implementation of the work program and budget, as well as managing general administration and human resource activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leads, oversees and coordinates the preparation and implementation of the work program and budget.
  • Monitors and controls budgetary allocations.
  • Establishes and maintains sound policies, procedures and tools for financial management.
  • Implements and monitors support services including procurement, transport, travel, communications, and IT support.
  • Provides advice to senior managers on human resource administration, financial administration and management information issues.
  • Coordinates institutional governance activities.
  • Manages and/or participates in the development of corporate strategies.
  • Manages Delegation of Authority within entity.
  • Liaises with UNOG on human resource activities.
  • Reviews post incumbency reports.
  • Supervises and provides expert guidance and leadership to more junior staff.
  • Performs other related work as required.
Required Experience

A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in administration, finance, accounting, human resources management or related field is required, including experience advising senior managers on resource planning and implementation as well as coordinating internal control monitoring, enterprise risk management and business continuity. Experience working in an entity conducting criminal investigations or criminal proceedings is required. Experience managing a team is required. Experience interpreting and applying UN policies, rules and regulations in the areas of administration, finance and budget, human resources and other related areas is required.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business or public administration, finance, accounting, law or related area is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
