Overview
The internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in economic affairs by contributing to research for publications and coordinating intergovernmental meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- - Contribute to background research, including literature reviews, data collection and analysis and drafting inputs for the Asia-Pacific Countries with Special Needs Development Report, 2027 and other policy reports.
- - Conduct research for other analytical products to support the delivery of workshops and other capacity development events.
- - Contribute to the logistical and organizational coordination of intergovernmental meetings and events organized by the Section, including the Expert Group Meeting on the Asia-Pacific Countries with Special Needs Development Report, a trade related capacity building workshop in Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development.
- - Collaborate with the team on day-to-day activities and operational tasks and perform other duties as required.
Required Experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in the Programme.
Qualifications
a) be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or b) be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); or c) have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one year period of graduation.
