Overview
Internship opportunity within the Civil Society Unit of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna, focusing on anti-corruption, drug issues, and crime prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of Programme GLOU68 by participating in project cycles, including drafting concept notes, implementation, and reporting;
- Support the development of communication materials to increase visibility of CSU activities;
- Attend and take notes at events/meetings/conferences;
- Assist in the preparation of CSU activities and events;
- Conduct research;
- Perform other tasks as necessary.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
OR
- Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Be computer literate in standard software applications;
- Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter;
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
