Assistant Registration and Identity Management Officer

Overview

Support the management and oversight of registration and identity management activities in the operation. Contribute to the implementation of the registration strategy to ensure it supports protection objectives, operational planning, and durable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of registration strategies and methodologies.
• Assist in drafting and implementing operation-specific SOPs for registration.
• Assist in implementing procedures and systems for quality registration data.
• Assist in conducting regular data quality checks.
• Assist in developing mass information campaigns on registration procedures.
• Liaise with Government authorities and partners.
• Assist in consolidating and drafting statistics and registration data reports.
• Contribute to training and internal capacity building of UNHCR staff in registration.
• Enforce compliance with UNHCR standards and policies.
• Make decisions relating to day-to-day operations of the registration unit.
• Draft and submit reports and statistics related to registration.
• Support the identification and management of risks and opportunities.

Required Experience

Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing SOPs related to registration, identity management, and protection processes is required. Candidates should possess practical experience with UNHCR corporate identity management systems and strong capacity-building and training skills. Prior experience in registration or individual case management, including the use of UNHCR proGres, considered an added advantage. 1 year relevant experience with Undergraduate degree; or no experience with Graduate degree; or no experience with Doctorate degree.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts: Information Technology, Bachelor of Arts: International Relations, Bachelor of Arts: Law, Bachelor of Arts: Social Science or other relevant field.
