Overview

Provide technical leadership in the design, integration, and evolution of NATO’s digital infrastructure, including networks, hosting and platform systems, storage, data centres, cloud services, and secure infrastructure capabilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable and resilient digital infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Provide technical leadership for systems design, integration, build, automation and continuous improvement activities.
  • Advise leadership and internal and external stakeholders on infrastructure design, standards, architecture and technology choices.
  • Ensure coherence between in-house and industry-delivered services, particularly where security, integration and operational resilience are critical.
  • Support the definition, refinement and validation of technical requirements across relevant projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to procurement activities, including Statements of Work, technical evaluation of industry bids, contract supervision and acceptance of delivered capabilities.
  • Mentor technical staff, promote design best practices and represent NISC in internal and external technical forums.
Required Experience
  • 5 years role-related experience with a Master’s degree, or 8 years role related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 5 years extensive practical experience managing the design and implementation of the underlying technology, software and hardware components that ensure the smooth functioning of networks, hosting and platform systems, storage systems, data centers, and cloud services.
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary team preferably in international environment.
  • Practical experience developing and applying architecture, design standards, policies and technical guidance.
  • Experience supporting complex infrastructure programmes, stakeholder engagement and technical decision-making.
Qualifications

Master’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline, or a Bachelor’s degree.
