Overview
The Investment Officer will be responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of infrastructure-related public-sector transactions in Region 2, supporting AIIB's lending program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and co-lead the origination, structuring, and execution of investment projects.
- Organize and supervise project due diligence.
- Conduct research and analysis of background materials, market information, and financial performance data.
- Carry out institutional assessments on executing agencies.
- Oversee the implementation of AIIB's investment operations.
- Monitor compliance with project agreements and AIIB procedures related to disbursement.
- Lead project teams on the preparation of timely and comprehensive monitoring reports.
- Lead interactions with clients, cofinancing partners, and other stakeholders.
- Advise clients on the preparation of technical and feasibility studies.
- Conduct project risk assessment of projects and programs.
- Lead business development activities in public-sector infrastructure projects.
- Facilitate the identification and sourcing of public-private partnership advisory mandates.
- Undertake the preparation, supervision, and implementation of support missions and site visits.
- Manage key internal stakeholders and the AIIB project approval process.
- Support and mentor junior team members.
- Support management in achieving its targets and objectives.
- Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the department's management.
Required Experience
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure finance at a commercial bank, investment bank, international financial institution, or top-tier consultancy. Experience working on projects in Region 2 markets would be an advantage. Skilled in financial analysis and the modeling and structuring of corporate finance and other types of infrastructure financing. Knowledge of business models in infrastructure sectors. Strong organizational and project management skills. Experience leading teams, or demonstrated leadership qualities.
Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent in business, finance, economics, or related fields.
