Overview

The Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst will support the UN India SDG Country Fund by managing information, monitoring programmes and activities, and developing M&E frameworks.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive MEL frameworks, plans, and tools.
  • Design data collection methods to capture outputs, outcomes, and impacts.
  • Establish baseline data and performance indicators.
  • Coordinate the collection, validation, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Ensure data quality through regular monitoring, validation, and verification procedures.
  • Analyse MEL data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Prepare regular MEL reports and presentations.
  • Facilitate learning sessions and workshops.
  • Support the integration of MEL findings into planning, implementation, and decision-making processes.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and technical support on MEL methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Strengthen MEL capacities through knowledge sharing, documentation, and institutional learning.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
Required Experience

Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), programme monitoring and reporting, data collection and analysis, information management, results-based management, research, or other related areas.

Qualifications

Advanced University degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Information Management, Statistics, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Science, or any other relevant field is required. Or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.

Fluency in Hindi and English is required.
Languages Preferred
Experience in data collection, analysis, and data visualization, with demonstrated ability to aggregate and synthesize information, extract key insights, and present findings effectively is an asset. Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data management, is desirable. Proven experience in understanding different evaluation frameworks and methodologies is desirable. Experience working with UN agencies, multilateral organizations, or international NGOs is highly desired.
