Overview

The Communications and Information Management Analyst will provide support for information management, documentation, and communication related to the UN India SDG Country Fund. The role involves stakeholder engagement via social media and administrative support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop communications plans and content materials, including reports, briefings, data visualisations, and blogs.
  • Prepare written, visual, and oral presentations/proposals/material.
  • Assist in planning, organising, and running policy seminars, events, and workshops.
  • Analyse and identify the lifecycle impact of implemented projects for communication channels.
  • Engage with the public, perform due diligence, monitor, and generate interest using social media.
  • Monitor and track news regarding the Fund and related projects.
  • Prepare and facilitate required documentations for fund disbursements.
  • Assist in monitoring expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Assist in administrative functions for the Fund's operationalisation, governance, reporting, and documentation.
  • Conduct specific analyses relating to project themes and data studies.
  • Liaise with project owners and external collaborators for information exchange and dissemination.
  • Capture and document lessons learned during project implementation.
  • Participate in internal meetings, training events, and knowledge sharing activities.
  • Keep abreast of developments in relevant Fund priority areas and policy discussions.
Required Experience

Applicants with a master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in Communications, Journalism or relevant areas such as Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, Economics.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Communications, Journalism or relevant areas such as Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, Economics is required. Or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.

Fluency in Hindi and English is required.
Languages Preferred
Familiarity with creative or social media tools (Adobe, WordPress, Canva, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc.) is desirable. Familiarity with designing and creating data visualization, infographics, presentations, and reports is desirable. Previous experience working with government, civil society, the UN or international development partners and/or multi-cultural teams is desirable.
