Overview

The Programme Analyst will provide analytical, programmatic, and operational support to the Climate Change, Water, Energy & Environment (CCEE) Unit, ensuring effective delivery of the portfolio and coordination with national partners.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to programme strategy formulation, planning, and operationalization.
  • Support programme and portfolio management, including implementation oversight, monitoring, and quality assurance.
  • Lead and coordinate monitoring and evaluation processes, track progress, and validate data.
  • Analyze project performance data and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support partnerships, coordination, and resource mobilization efforts.
  • Maintain coordination with government entities, donors, UN agencies, and implementing partners.
  • Ensure knowledge management and capacity building by documenting best practices and contributing to knowledge products.
Required Experience

Minimum 2 years (with Master’s degree) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national and/or international level in providing management services, experience in supporting design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects and programmes in relevant thematic areas and establishing inter-relationships among international organizations and national governments. Demonstrated experience in supporting implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting of development projects and programmes, preferably within Climate Change, Water, Energy & Environment sectors. Experience in data analysis, results tracking, and reporting, including familiarity with results frameworks, indicators, and monitoring tools. Experience working with government counterparts, implementing partners, and/or development organisations, supporting coordination and programme delivery.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field is required. OR A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the above fields in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
