Overview
Provide financial education, counseling, and loan support services to assist refugee clients in achieving economic self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Work one-to-one with clients to complete financial assessments and develop household budgets.
- Provide one-on-one financial counseling and deliver group classes/workshops on financial literacy topics.
- Connect clients to economic empowerment services and the IRC’s Financial Coach.
- Identify and develop relationships with local financial institutions and community organizations.
- Assist clients with opening financial accounts and provide support to the microlending program.
- Maintain files and database records to track client progress and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Required Experience
Proven success achieving goals and working effectively with all levels of staff in a multicultural environment.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance.
