Overview

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring compliance review and carrying out recruiting activities, coordinating with hiring managers, selection panels, HR focal points, and candidates for timely post filling.


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the focal point for recruitment and selection of personnel.
  • Process requests for job advertising, review position descriptions, titles, and grade levels.
  • Assist in screening applications, advise on preliminary assessment methods, and organize their administration.
  • Review eligibility and qualifications of shortlisted candidates and provide advice.
  • Review deselection reasons of first-tier candidates and provide guidance.
  • Review/draft and propose competency-based interview questions, schedule interviews, and assist in preparing selection forms.
  • Support with the reference check process.
  • Draft/Review selection recommendation documents and coordinate submissions for approval.
  • Participate in initiatives for building talent communities and feeding talent pipelines.
  • Maintain liaison with the Human Resources Administration Unit for selection and mobilization formalities.
  • Track offers sent to successful candidates and ensure unsuccessful candidates are notified.
  • Address issues related to recruitment processes and recommend courses of action.
  • Respond to e-mail inquiries regarding recruitment and selection processes.
  • Assist in monitoring and updating staffing tables and recruitment tracking lists.
  • Keep an auditable record of all assigned activities and feed the recruitment audit trail.
  • Prepare information for periodic statistical reports.
  • Contribute to sourcing and attraction efforts and outreach activities.
  • Identify and analyze areas for improvement in procedures and processes.
  • Participate in the provision of training to REC stakeholders.
  • Serve as backup for the National Human Resource Officer and replacement for Recruitment Assistants.
Required Experience
  • Three (3) years relevant professional experience with a university degree in Human Resources, Business administration, Industrial and Organizational Psychology or any related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant professional experience with a completed High School degree.
  • Experience processing human resources transactions and exposure to talent acquisitions and talent management concepts and processes.
  • Experience using social media to serve recruitment and selection objectives.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and selection in humanitarian or non-for-profit organizations is desirable.
  • Experience on Human Resources statistics is desirable.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting an advantage.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Human Resources, Business administration, Industrial and Organizational Psychology or any related field from an accredited academic institution.
  • Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution.
