Overview
Facilitate and coordinate migrant and refugee movements by providing direct support to beneficiaries, managing travel-related processes, and ensuring compliance with IOM operational and protection standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake beneficiary-facing activities in movement operations.
- Coordinate field support activities with relevant units, agencies, and service providers.
- Coordinate transportation of beneficiaries.
- Assist in the provision of food and other essential items.
- Ensure individuals with special needs receive appropriate support.
- Work with units, departments, and beneficiaries on pre-departure formalities.
- Enter and update relevant data in appropriate systems.
- Provide selection mission support and/or interpretation services.
- Provide visa applicants with application assistance.
- Undertake duty travel as required.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of applicable SOPs, related systems and databases, and IOM Standards of Conduct.
- Uphold RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Five years of relevant experience with a High School diploma; or, three years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior Movement Operations, transportation-related and/or management experience.
- Work experience in programs including movement operations component, particularly in resettlement programs.
- Experience with communicating with beneficiaries.
- Demonstrated knowledge with handling sensitive information and personal data.
- Airport experience is a distinct advantage.
Qualifications
High School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
