Overview

Assist in the implementation of the SAR/IBG portfolio and related activities, focusing on financial and procurement processes and commitments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Programme Manager IBG in establishing coordination mechanisms and organizing meetings.
  • Provide informal translation of documents into English or Arabic and draft presentations and letters.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct capacity building workshops.
  • Coordinate administrative and financial processes, including preparing purchase and payment requests.
  • Establish and maintain a filing system and ensure document processing and follow-up.
  • Coordinate and monitor financial, administrative, and technical aspects of project activities.
  • Serve as liaison support to track supporting documents for approval.
  • Provide support in ensuring IOM standards for procurement, logistics, and financial procedures are applied.
  • Analyze implementation difficulties and make recommendations for adjustments.
  • Lead IBG related procurement actions for border management and cross-border operations.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Required Experience
  • University Degree in a relevant field with five years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma with seven years of relevant professional experience.
  • Relevant working experience in a similar position.
  • Experience working with international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and governmental/diplomatic authorities.
  • Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Previous working experience in another international organization (IOM, UN, ICRC etc.) is an advantage.
  • Previous working experience with implementing and monitoring administrative procedures is an advantage.
Qualifications

University Degree in a relevant field such as international relations, political sciences, migration studies, finance, business administration, or High School Diploma.

Languages Required
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish). Fluency in Arabic is required (oral and written).
