Overview
The intern will assist the Adult Education Specialist with various aspects of the programs, including classroom setup, administrative tasks, and supporting classroom activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend ESOL and Cultural Orientation classes on designated days
- Arrive a few minutes early to check in with teacher about the day’s classroom activities
- Assist students with class assignments.
- Assist with set-up and tear-down during Cultural Orientation
- Provide supervision when needed for young children when present
- Help integrate digital literacy in the classroom
- Other duties as assigned
- Record hours and submit completed timesheet for each month via the IRC’s online Volunteer Dashboard.
Required Experience
Exposure to global environments and languages is a plus.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or recent graduate
