Overview

The Land Surveyor supports infrastructure projects by providing precise geospatial data, conducting surveys, and producing maps for project planning and execution.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed topographic and boundary surveys for camps, roads, facilities, and utilities.
  • Prepare geo-referenced survey maps, profiles, and reports using tools like AutoCAD, GIS, Infraworks, and Global Mapper.
  • Record terrain data including elevations, contours, and land features.
  • Assist in site layout, setting construction boundaries, and verifying project design alignments.
  • Engage junior survey staff and collaborate with external surveyors.
  • Maintain an updated digital database of all survey records.
  • Assist with elevation of grounds and L profile section for the construction/repair of roads, drainage and helipad works
  • Provide regular progress reports and recommend solutions to survey challenges.
  • Support emergency survey needs and contributes to cost estimates for survey-related works.
  • Perform such other tasks as assigned by Chief Engineer
Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in land surveying and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering with formal surveying training.

Prior UN or international field experience is desirable.
