Overview

To manage warehouse operations, ensuring safe and efficient storage of commodities and supplies in compliance with WFP guidelines.


Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the effective planning and management of warehouse operations.
  • Contribute to the review of WFP corporate warehouse standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate the receipt/dispatch of commodities.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of warehouse transaction records.
  • Responsible for inventory management.
  • Supervise preparation and/or prepare regular and ad hoc reports and statistics on warehouse operations.
  • Oversee safeguarding of commodities.
  • Review warehouse space availability, plan and implement new design layouts.
  • Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify training needs and plan trainings.
  • Supervise warehouse staff.
Required Experience

Six or more years of progressive experience in warehouse management, inventory control, commodity handling, stock reconciliation, team supervision, and logistics operations, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and efficient supply chain performance.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
