Overview
Support the implementation of the enterprise pillar of the PROSPECTS programme to improve livelihoods and expand economic opportunities for refugees and host communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support effective implementation of the project through timely execution of technical tasks.
- Prepare budget estimates and expenditure forecasts.
- Foster cooperation with PROSPECTS partner agencies, implementing partners, ILO constituents, and other key stakeholders.
- Support partners to accurately interpret technical and implementation guidelines.
- Promote the inclusion of gender equality and non-discrimination.
- Identify capacity building gaps within partners and key actors.
- Document contextual changes, opportunities, and impact of interventions.
- Review, verify, and analyse workplans, progress reports, and data from implementing partners.
- Follow-up on deliverables, reports, and other documents.
- Support project monitoring and partner contract tracking.
- Support organization of training programmes, seminars, workshops, and meetings.
- Organize and conduct technical field missions.
- Support development and dissemination of project communications items.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
At least two years of professional experience at the national level in project management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, with a thematic emphasis on enterprise promotion. Experience working on issues related to refugees and asylum seekers is a strong advantage. Proven experience in working effectively with government bodies in charge of policymaking and with development partners. Familiarity with UN policies and procedures, including experience working with officials of the Ministries responsible for enterprise development in Kenya.
Qualifications
First level university degree in economics, social sciences, development or another relevant discipline/field. A master’s degree in a social science discipline of relevance to development studies will be an asset.
