Overview

The National Programme Coordinator will support the delivery of a programme focused on addressing decent work gaps in Saudi Arabia, contributing to Vision 2030. The role involves leading day-to-day implementation, monitoring, and reporting of programme activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day implementation of the programme's workplan.
  • Provide programming inputs, drafting documents such as framework documents, concept notes, project proposals, technical background documents, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation activities, reviewing and analysing work-plans, progress reports, and final reports.
  • Promote the inclusion of gender equality and non-discrimination.
  • Apply results-based management, maintaining the programme's results framework.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with national counterparts.
  • Plan, organize, and provide technical direction to conferences, seminars, workshops, and events.
  • Identify capacity gaps and propose technical responses, contributing to training and knowledge products.
  • Prepare and manage Terms of Reference for external collaborators and service providers.
  • Initiate, plan, and undertake monitoring missions and field visits.
  • Support resource mobilization and partnership development.
  • Ensure high-level communications to increase project visibility.
  • Contribute to sound administrative and financial management.
  • Provide substantive briefings and informal interpretation and translation (Arabic-English) as required.
Required Experience

At least three years of professional experience in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development cooperation programmes or projects. Experience of working with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is required. Relevant professional experience, especially in the field of labour market governance; demonstrated experience managing or coordinating multi-component, multi-stakeholder programmes; experience working with government institutions and/or employers’ and workers’ organizations; experience within the United Nations or an international organization; and familiarity with the Saudi and/or GCC labour-market and institutional context are strongly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Qualifications

First-level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in economics, public policy or public administration, law, social sciences, development studies, international relations, business or management, or another field relevant to the programme. An advanced university degree (Master’s) in a relevant field is strongly desirable.
