Overview

The National Project Officer - Grant Officer oversees the entire grant cycle for an EU-funded initiative, from design to closure, and provides technical assistance to beneficiaries.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and revise annual work plans related to the project's grant component.
  • Prepare budget proposals and monitor resource situation.
  • Draft, edit, or translate official correspondence and public information materials into local language.
  • Prepare briefs, background information, technical reports, and progress reports on the grant component.
  • Provide training on monitoring and evaluation to beneficiary institutions and grant beneficiaries.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with grant beneficiaries to share knowledge and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Assistance Monitoring Officer to integrate PES roles in grant-funded initiatives.
Required Experience

At least one year of professional experience at the national level in project management, implementation, grant monitoring and evaluation. Previous experience in EU funded projects and grant scheme management would be an asset.

Qualifications

First level university degree in economics, public policies, development studies or a relevant field.

Excellent knowledge of the working language of the duty station and a good knowledge of English.
