Overview
IOM is establishing a roster of qualified experts to support future climate mobility initiatives and technical assistance in the Philippines. Experts will contribute to training curricula, research, knowledge products, and technical assistance in mainstreaming mobility into policies and financing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and delivery of training curricula and modules on climate mobility.
- Develop research activities and technical knowledge products.
- Provide technical assistance in mainstreaming mobility into national and local policies, plans, and financing frameworks.
- Develop technically sound, accurate, and evidence-based training materials.
- Support integration of mobility considerations into relevant national or local plans, policies or financing frameworks.
- Develop technically sound programming and financing frameworks relating to climate mobility.
- Incorporate comments and recommendations from IOM and relevant stakeholders.
- Produce publication-ready, well-organized, and professionally formatted outputs.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with IOM, including timely participation in meetings and submission of progress updates.
Required Experience
- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in climate change, migration, disaster risk reduction, environmental governance, sustainable development, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience working with Philippine government agencies, development partners, academia, civil society organizations, or international organizations.
- Expertise in one or more of the following technical areas: climate mobility and migration, data/evidence/research/MEL, climate policy and governance, climate finance.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in climate change, migration studies, environmental science, public policy, development studies, economics, geography, monitoring and evaluation, or another relevant discipline.
