Overview
Assist in designing communication materials, managing digital content for IOM Chile's website and social media, and supporting communication campaigns and outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing simple information, education, and communication materials, especially those related to the protection and rights of migrant workers.
- Support in creating, updating, and organizing content for IOM Chile’s website and social media channels, including capturing and editing photos and videos and preparing basic multimedia materials.
- Assist with the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of digital communication campaigns.
- Assist with coordinating with vendors to produce and translate communication materials into various languages.
- Participate in community outreach and awareness activities that promote safe migration by supporting logistics or documentation.
- Support program visibility by supporting event coverage and assisting with media coordination.
- Contribute to the development of content and communication products (messages, graphics, etc.) that inform audiences, stimulate reflection, and promote public discussion on key migration issues.
- Other associated activities that may be indicated by the supervisor.
Required Experience
Interest in communication, social media, migration topics, or public information work. Experience in digital content creation, including graphic design, photography, videography, and audiovisual editing. Experience with online communication, social media management and basic analytics.
Qualifications
Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent), or in a Master's degree or higher (or have recently graduated) in Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
