Overview

Support global data management activities for the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM), focusing on data consolidation, cleaning, quality assurance, and the implementation of data standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for DTM global and field implementations.
  • Implement global DTM survey and tracking systems.
  • Ensure standards in published DTM data on IOM websites.
  • Implement data quality control mechanisms.
  • Contribute to responsible data mechanisms (governance, protection, security, ethics).
  • Support development of standard operating procedures for data collection and management.
  • Develop and implement Kobo forms.
  • Prepare tabulations for technical reports and information products.
  • Research and evaluate new information system applications and technologies.
Required Experience

Experience in global data consolidation from various databases and datasets; Experience in managing or working with DTM data, datasets, and databases; Experience in complex data quality control operations/mechanisms; Experience in the development, refinement, and implementation of population database systems (such as registrations, census or surveys).

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Demographics or an Information Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or, University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience.

Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of French, and/or of an official UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
