Overview
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities related to the IOM SNFI portfolio, including field visits for data collection and documentation of damages and repair needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
- Conduct field visits to collect and document information on damages and repair needs.
- Assist in compiling Bills of Quantity and Bills of Materials.
- Support the Procurement Unit by collecting and sharing technical information.
- Monitor the progress of works on-site.
- Support administrative coordination of project implementation.
- Contribute to reports by providing inputs and data.
Required Experience
- Five years of professional work experience with a high school diploma; or, three years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Architect, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience supporting shelter and building construction and repair management activities; Experience in the field of construction engineering and contract management; Experience supporting the implementation of civil design projects; Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards and best practices related to project; Knowledge of financial rules and regulations; Prior work experience with humanitarian organizations, non-government or government; institutions/organization is an advantage.
Qualifications
High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Architect, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited academic institution.
