Overview
The Training and Development Coordinator will support the implementation of initiatives to strengthen telecommunications resilience across Pacific Island countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and delivery of the Pacific ETC training programme.
- Design, deliver and facilitate emergency telecommunications training activities.
- Act as a facilitator, trainer, or subject matter resource for government-led training.
- Coordinate and engage subject matter experts, facilitators, and technical specialists.
- Promote the Pacific Waves Training Alliance.
- Maintain, expand and promote Pacific ETC training and knowledge.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing forums, webinars, communities of practice, and peer-learning events.
- Work with national governments and partners to establish country-specific ownership models.
- Design and implement Train-the-Trainer programmes.
- Apply appropriate evaluation methodologies to assess training effectiveness.
- Monitor and document competency development and maintain records of trained personnel.
- Produce regular reports on training achievements.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and technical cooperation.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in humanitarian preparedness, emergency management, capacity strengthening, learning and development, or related fields.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree in Human Resource Development, Training Management, Adult Education, Capacity Development, Organizational Learning, Emergency Management, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), or another relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of relevant work experience.
