Overview
Consultancy to prepare the ‘’Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals for the Arab States Region: The Gender Snapshot, 2026’’ report, assessing progress and gaps in achieving SDGs from a gender perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess progress and identify gaps in achieving gender-related SDGs in the Arab states through desktop research, data collection, and stakeholder consultations.
- Develop the "Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab States: The Gender Snapshot" report by compiling research, producing regional aggregates, and making amendments based on reviews.
- Provide support for data visualization, final editing, and layout of the report in collaboration with communications teams.
Required Experience
- At least 7 years of experience in designing and executing gender data research projects, preferably related to SDGs or a related field.
- Experience in leading or co-leading regional-level gender data research initiatives is desirable.
- Experience in producing high-quality research publications, preferably in gender data, is desirable.
- Experience working with UN agencies is desirable.
- Experience working in the Arab States Region is desirable.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Demography, Econometrics, gender studies, social science and/or a related field.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
