The UNEP Mercury Consultant – Oral Health Expert will develop two Medium Sized Projects (MSPs) and associated annexes to phase out the use of dental amalgam in oral care. This initiative will support target countries in improving their regulatory and enforcement frameworks, health insurances, and non-mercury education initiatives.
At least 7 years of working experience in project management (including project preparation) at the international level is required. Working knowledge of donor funded projects (development and supervision) required. Experience in the implementation of GEF and or/ UNEP environmental or industry related programmes, projects and activities is desirable.
Advanced university degree in a field related to dentistry, public health or relevant field (e.g. international relations, law, political or social science, environmental studies, environmental or industrial or chemical engineering) is required. A first-level university degree, combined with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
