Overview

The Programme Officer, Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) will support the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of DTM programme activities in the country.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of DTM activities and field assessments.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of data collection and analysis exercises.
  • Identify gaps and propose solutions to improve data collection and analysis procedures.
  • Develop information products on DTM, including reports, profiles, maps, and infographics.
  • Assist in managing the field reporting mechanism and ensure daily updates are cross-checked and disseminated.
  • Facilitate the integration of cross-cutting issues within DTM activities.
  • Support the integration of IOM’s data protection principles.
  • Follow up on logistical and administrative arrangements for DTM implementation.
  • Organize and deliver trainings and support capacity building of DTM field staff and partners.
  • Participate in meetings and engagement with partners and local authorities.
  • Undertake duty travel as required.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
  • Two years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree, or four years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
  • Experience in the field of emergency response and humanitarian assistance and the implementation of early recovery activities.
  • Experience in data collection, research, and report writing.
  • Experience working with data protection guidelines and principles.
  • Experience in project implementation in a humanitarian context.
  • Experience writing technical documents, translating/planning specifications to technical briefs for data capture/analysis, and compiling diverse datasets.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Political or Social Science, International Law, Humanitarian Affairs or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or
  • University degree in the above fields.

Languages Required
Fluency in English and Spanish is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
Contract Duration
6 months with possibility of extension
