Overview
The Programme Officer, Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) will support the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of DTM programme activities in the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of DTM activities and field assessments.
- Participate in the development and implementation of data collection and analysis exercises.
- Identify gaps and propose solutions to improve data collection and analysis procedures.
- Develop information products on DTM, including reports, profiles, maps, and infographics.
- Assist in managing the field reporting mechanism and ensure daily updates are cross-checked and disseminated.
- Facilitate the integration of cross-cutting issues within DTM activities.
- Support the integration of IOM’s data protection principles.
- Follow up on logistical and administrative arrangements for DTM implementation.
- Organize and deliver trainings and support capacity building of DTM field staff and partners.
- Participate in meetings and engagement with partners and local authorities.
- Undertake duty travel as required.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree, or four years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
- Experience in the field of emergency response and humanitarian assistance and the implementation of early recovery activities.
- Experience in data collection, research, and report writing.
- Experience working with data protection guidelines and principles.
- Experience in project implementation in a humanitarian context.
- Experience writing technical documents, translating/planning specifications to technical briefs for data capture/analysis, and compiling diverse datasets.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Political or Social Science, International Law, Humanitarian Affairs or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or
- University degree in the above fields.
