Overview

Provide technical, analytical, and coordination support for private sector initiatives, serving as the analytical backbone for a High-Level Private Sector Advisory Group.


Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake technical analysis and issue mapping on priority themes.
  • Prepare background notes, briefing packages, issue papers, and other technical inputs.
  • Support the development of tailored agendas and materials for meetings.
  • Analyze market developments, private sector trends, and contextual issues.
  • Consolidate and synthesize inputs from divisions and departments.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external member offices.
  • Support the identification, documentation, and structuring of follow-up actions.
  • Track developments across regional initiative portfolios.
  • Prepare summaries of discussions, key takeaways, and action matrices.
  • Contribute to institutional learning by synthesizing insights.
  • Support preparation of materials for major institutional events and senior management discussions.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned.
Required Experience

At least 6 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in development finance institutions, investment operations, international organizations, investment analysis, advisory work, or private sector development. Experience supporting high-level meetings, senior management discussions, or senior-level coordination processes is desirable. Familiarity with blended finance, risk-sharing instruments, investment platforms, capital markets, or related private sector financing approaches is desirable. Familiarity with ADB operations, policies, and procedures is an advantage.

Qualifications

A University degree in economics, finance, business administration, international development, public policy, or related fields; preferably at post-graduate level or its equivalent.

Contract Duration
initially for a period of up to 3 years, or up to the Normal Retirement Date (NRD), whichever comes earlier. After the initial fixed-term period, ADB may choose to renew the appointment for up to an additional 3 years or not renewed.
