Overview
This role involves conducting a final evaluation of UN Women Niger's country portfolio for the period of January 2023 to the data collection date. The evaluation aims to assess the relevance, performance, and strategic positioning of UN Women's interventions in Niger.

Required Experience
- At least five years of experience in evaluation or programme analysis.
- Good knowledge of gender programming.
- Solid analytical and writing skills.
- Experience working in fragile or conflict-affected contexts.
- Five years of proven and relevant experience in designing, monitoring, and evaluating projects/programmes, particularly in peace and security, climate change, gender, and actions related to agricultural value chains and green investments.
- Proven experience in evaluating complex programmes and projects.
- Experience in evaluating the Strategic Note of a UN System (UNS) country office.
- Good knowledge of the Niger context, particularly the period covered by the Strategic Note.
- Solid thematic experience in gender and sustainable development.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in applying qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods.
- Data analysis skills, including the use of software such as NVivo.
- Knowledge of international standards on women's rights and gender mainstreaming.
- Technical competence in the thematic areas to be evaluated.
- Knowledge of the UN system and UN Women's mandate, including its programming, coordination, and normative roles.
- Experience in conducting gender-sensitive evaluations.
- Experience in gender analysis and human rights-based approaches.
- Proven experience in designing and conducting evaluations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Skills in managing evaluation processes, facilitation, and communication.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social sciences, sociology, demography, economics, law, project management, gender and human rights, or other related disciplines.
- A first university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of a higher university degree.
- Certification in gender-sensitive evaluation is an asset.
- Certification in Project/Programme Management is an additional advantage.
