Overview

The Community Champion for Maternal and Child Health role aims to strengthen the health system by acting as a link between families and health centers, encouraging health-seeking behaviors, and improving knowledge of health risks.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support community awareness and education on maternal and child health.
  • Support orientation and close follow-up of individuals needing care.
  • Support the link between the community and health services.
  • Support the collection and relay of community feedback.
  • Support health campaigns and activities.
Required Experience

No experience required. Previous volunteer experience with a civil society organization or at the community level is an asset.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Volunteerism, associative and community work.

Installation grant: 50 USD. Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): 939.83 TND. Training and learning: access to UNV learning and career development resources. Annual leave: 2.5 days per month. Insurance: comprehensive health, life, and malicious acts coverage for the UN Volunteer only.
