Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the field-level implementation of Oxfam’s agricultural water-efficiency pilot in Bekaa, ensuring activities are delivered effectively, on time, and in line with project objectives. The role leads engagement, capacity building, technical support, and cash assistance processes with farmers, while overseeing planning, budgeting, procurement, monitoring, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engagement, capacity building, technical support, and cash assistance processes with farmers.
  • Oversee planning, budgeting, procurement, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Support wider WASH field activities.
  • Coordinate with municipalities, ministries, Water Establishments, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure strong accountability, technical quality, gender and protection mainstreaming, and effective coordination across programme teams.
  • Support the development of contract farming approaches, facilitating dialogue and coordination among farmers, businesses, lead firms, suppliers, input providers, humanitarian actors, and policymakers to strengthen sustainable agricultural market linkages.
Required Experience
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including work planning, budget monitoring, procurement, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and coordination, including working with local communities, municipalities, public institutions, private-sector actors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Lebanon’s agricultural context, particularly the Bekaa, including experience engaging with farmers and agricultural stakeholders.
