Overview
Provides secretarial, clerical, and administrative support for the Geneva Liaison Office and supports the UNGA Advisory Commission on UNRWA.
Tasks Summary
- Drafts, reviews, proofreads, and edits correspondence
- Assists in formatting and distributing newsletters and intranet pages
- Handles public inquiries
- Supports scheduling meetings and managing calendars
- Leads logistical organization of events, conferences, and meetings
- Liaises with UNOG on support services
- Serves as procurement point of contact
- Drafts annual office operational budget
- Tracks expenditures and balances
- Coordinates with finance departments
- Performs REACH/SAP processes
- Supports Human Resources matters
- Conducts preparations and logistics for Advisory Commission meetings
- Provides support to AdCom, SubCom, Bureaus, and Members
- Manages and maintains UNRWA’s AdCom website
- Coordinates preparation of documentation and materials
- Facilitates and/or prepares précis and Summary Records
Experience Requirements
- At least six years of experience working with finance and HR rules, policies and procedures in the UN and/or other international organisations is required
- Experience with events organisation, budgetary and bookkeeping issues is required
- Ability to use standard applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint), Chimpmail, CANVA and other similar office applications is required
Qualification Requirements
Two-year post-secondary diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Finance or a related discipline
