Overview

This internship supports the Capacity Development Programme Management Office (CDPMO) in formulating and implementing capacity development strategies. The role promotes coherence and integrated delivery of capacity development work.

Tasks Summary

• Assisting in and contributing to project management and coordination in areas of financial for development, public institutions and sustainable development
• Assisting in research, drafting and preparing analytical documents
• Assisting in the organization of conferences, workshops, meetings or other collaborative events
• Assisting in data and statistics collecting and sorting
• Other assigned work by the Head of Office

Experience Requirements

No working experience is required.

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
• Enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
• Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset.

Contract Duration: 2 - 6 months

Work Modality: flexible working arrangements (telecommuting)

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
