Overview

This internship involves supporting the Host Country Services Unit at the United Nations Office at Nairobi by capturing, maintaining, and analyzing data.

Tasks Summary

• Capture information from hard copies to electronic systems (excel, access, SharePoint) ensuring accuracy and good standard.
• Create and maintain excel-based tools and reports.
• Provide data analysis and insights.
• Enter information from documents for storage and transmission.
• Consistently check work for accuracy and completeness.
• Complete forms and edit information.
• Read information and key data into necessary fields.
• Compare entered information with source to identify and correct errors.
• Update existing data in the electronic system.

Experience Requirements

Applicants are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), OR
• Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent), OR
• Graduated with Bachelor's degree, Masters, PhD or equivalent.
• Computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Public Information, or a related discipline is preferred.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in oral and written English.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of other UN languages is desirable.

Contract Duration: 6 Months
