Overview

Internship within the Environment Division of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) to support environmental policy and sustainable development objectives.

Tasks Summary

• Provide general support to the preparation of Environmental Performance Reviews (EPRs) for Moldova, Central Asia, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia.
• Support the Transport, Health and Environment Pan-European Programme (THE PEP) through drafting documents and communication materials, and preparing for meetings.
• Provide support to the Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Programme, including project implementation, report launching, and capacity-development activities.
• Offer general assistance such as drafting and editing documents, background research, and correspondence.

Experience Requirements

No professional work experience is required.

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled or completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
• Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent).
• Computer literate in standard software applications.
• Studies in environmental policy, environmental law, environmental sciences, international relations, or equivalent are required.
