Internship opportunity in Data Research within the Office of Supply Chain Management. The role involves gathering, analyzing, and reporting on data to support organizational objectives.

Tasks Summary

• Gathers and analyzes data from various databases and sources
• Performs statistical and/or mathematical programming
• Develops reports and visual representations
• Develops and/or maintains databases
• Provides consultation and technical assistance
• Assists in determining appropriate statistical methodology
• Uses statistical and mathematical software packages
• Designs and implements study activities and process improvements
• Supports team members with data cleaning
• Creates simple data visualizations
• Translates data results into written reports or presentations
• Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns using basic machine learning techniques and statistical methods
• Contributes to identifying opportunities for innovative approaches
• Assists in the development and delivery of data science solutions

Experience Requirements

No working experience is required.

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
• Enrolled in the final academic year of a university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent)
• Graduated with a university degree
• Pursuing studies and experiences in Analytics and Business Intelligence
• Relevant coursework in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Visualization, or Analytics
• Human Resources background is also encouraged

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.

Contract Duration: 3-6 months

Work Modality: In person in New York or remote, full time or part time modalities would be considered.
